It's the weather 'rained off' at Strathspey – not the Parkrun!
Aviemore Parkrunners shrugged off the rain today (Saturday, November 2).
"Plenty of hardy folk braved the inhospitable conditions including a group from Kirkcaldy, others from Southend and several orienteers from the Borders," reports steward Hilary Quick – who just happened to be notching up her 50th time volunteering!
For the 127th running of the ever popular event there were 78 who jogged or walked the course, 27 of whom were first-timers.
In all,14 new personal bests were recorded, with 20 different clubs represented.
Today's gallant volunteers with Hilary were: Jane Pottie, Val Machin, Pete Wright, Janice Cargill, Bill Dewitt, Isobel Paterson and David Machin.
