Aviemore roadworks postponed because of bad weather

The proposed resurfacing works on the B9152 Lynwilg A9 link road near Aviemore have been postponed.

The work was due to start at 9am today (Monday) and continue through until 5pm tomorrow causing the road to be closed for the duration.

However, council road bosses have postponed the improvements because of the snow that has fallen over the past 24 hours and the forecast for tomorrow.

A spokesman said that the work had been reprogrammed for next Monday (December 12) and Tuesday (December 13)..

The traffic management currently in place will be removed, he added.
