It has been announced that a celebration of Mr Gibb’s life will take place at Inverness Crematorium on Friday March 7.

The funeral cortège will drive by the primary school where he had worked for 17 years up to the day of his death.

Mr Gibb was a well-loved and respected figure at the school amongst pupils, their parents and staff.

Aviemore residents will have the opportunity to pay their respects too with the hearse departing the family home at the north end of the village at 10.30am before travelling south on Grampian Road via the visit to the school.

The service at the crematorium starts at 12.15pm and all family, friends and former neighbours are respectfully invited to attend.

Donations in lieu of floral tributes are welcomed with the chosen beneficiaries being The British Heart Foundation and the SSPCA.
