Pedestrians and ponies will get a look at new Strathspey route on Wednesday
More consultation has been lined up this week in the strath as the Scottish Government look to provide a new 10km segregated non motorised user facility between Aviemore and Carrbridge.
Aviemore will see the first of the events on Wednesday (June 5) in the community centre from 3pm to 8pm.
Carrbridge will get its own event on Thursday, June 20 in the village hall from 2pm until 6pm.
“The Transport Scotland team and their design consultants will be on hand to answer any questions,” a spokesperson said.
“The new NMU route will provide a safer, more direct route for pedestrians, cyclists, wheelers and pony riders between the villagers and connect with other NMU routes in the area.”
A parallel virtual event will be posted on the Transport Scotland website from Wednesday and it will continue until Thursday July 11, where the public will be able to provide feedback on the designs.
The preferred route starts on the eastern side of the B9152 at Dalfaber Drive continuing north where the route then crosses at Granish Junction from the eastern side of the B9152 to the western side of the A95. The route continues along the western side of the A95/B9153 until Carrbridge.
