Kincraig's dry ski slope closed due to snow
It's a joke!
Loch Insh Outdoor Centre simply posted this cracking shot of the real stuff from the foot of its artificial ski slope and the momentary absence of skiers made us smile.
There's been plenty to smile about, too, for snow sports fans up on the real hill.
As the storm continued yesterday, Cairngorm Mountain celebrated:
"Lots of smiley faces on the slope today and our Adventure Play and Tubing Park.
"We have had constant heavy snow fall all day, and it is forecast to continue snowing until daylight tomorrow."
Due to the atrocious visibility causing difficulty in moving their piste machines around, the team were not sure if they would be able to offer more uplift or open more terrain through Saturday.
"From what we have been able to see, there are still some thin and unconsolidated areas around, however we have most of our snowguns in operation now, trying to make as much snow as possible from the mid station downwards.
"As it stands we will only be opening our Lower learners Area as normal at 9.00am. If other options become available later in the day, we will update accordingly.
"Our Adventure play and Tubing Park is scheduled to open from 10.00am."
Sunny spells and light winds are expected from mid morning.
