Cairngorms Community Led Vision Fund opens for applications
A £247,000 pot is now available to a wide range of organisations including charities, community groups, small to medium-size enterprises, cooperatives, and public sector organisations throughout the Cairngorms National Park.
The fund, organised by the Cairngorms Trust in partnership with the park authority, has been secured from Scottish Government Community-Led Local Development funding.
The fund is looking for a range of inclusive community-based activities to be delivered by the end of March 2023 which will meet some of the key Scottish Government priorities:
• rural poverty – especially child and fuel poverty;
• Net zero and climate emergency; and
• Covid recovery.
Roger Clegg, chair of the Cairngorms Trust, said today: "We are delighted to have nearly £250k to distribute over the next seven months. We would advise projects to apply early to take advantage of the fund and allow time to deliver the impact.
"With the current economic climate becoming more challenging, this fund will make a real difference in the area to our communities and individuals.
"As a board, we are looking forward to seeing the variety of applications coming in."
The fund aims to support projects that may not be supported by other existing national funding programmes.
