Aviemore Parkrunners turn over a new leaf – thousands, in fact!
Autumn has arrived.
If any proof of that we needed, you only needed to watch those fallen leaves being kicked around at Aviemore today (Saturday, October 19).
The latest Parkrun saw an amazing 73 runners and 11 volunteers enjoying a brilliant morning.
"We had some great compliments on our beautiful 'undulating' 5km course," said run director Pete Wright, "with people taking part from all over the UK.
"Our first back was William from London and we had some amazing 'tourists' helping out with the volunteer duties."
The 125th running of the event welcomed 23 first timers and six runners recorded new personal bests.
Representatives of 25 different clubs took part.
The event was made possible by 11 volunteers: Pete Wright, Lynda Henderson, Angus Scotrt-Brown, Shona Keith, Mak Caulfield, Kayla Megan Henderson, Rory Mitchell, Zoe Russell, Bill Dewitt, David Machin and Leah Keith.
