Aviemore still the magnet for ParkRunners

Today's ParkRun at Aviemore proved the point that more and more people are coming to the strath to participate.

A delighted race director Hilary Quick told the Strathy: "Some 60 of the total 94 participants were visitors – 40 of them visiting Aviemore parkrun for the first time."

Ewan Taylor, from Kincraig, was new to the event this morning, and yet won strongly with a great time of 17:31.

Visitors Garry Joss, of Aberdeen and Oliver Hogg, all the way up from Norwich, ran in some 45 seconds later, in 18:17 and 18:32 respectively.

"We want to thank to all who joined us today and enjoyed our lovely route.

"And, of course, big thanks to the volunteers who make ParkRun possible."
