Man appears at Inverness court on sexual assault charge

A man has been charged with assault with intent to rape.
Marius Macura (39), from Inverness, appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court following an allegation of a sexual assault on a 35-year-old woman in the city.
The incident is alleged to have happened around 2.15am on Wednesday, November 24 last year in the Brown Street area of the city.
Macura made no plea to charges of assault with intent to rape and threatening or abusive behaviour.
He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
