The A95 is expected to be closed for most of today after a serious road accident by Skye of Curr earlier this morning.

The Aviemore-Grantown road has been closed in both directions with signs in place on the straight by the Speyside Centre.

999 crews are currently in attendance at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.50am on Wednesday, officers received reports of a multi-vehicle crash on the A95 near Dulnain Bridge.

“Emergency services are in attendance.”

Sixteen-kilometre diversions have been put in place in both directions.

Northbound traffic is being told to exit the A95 at Kinveachy on to the B9153 and continue to Carrbridge then turn right on to the A938, continue on A938 to rejoin the A95 at Dulnain Bridge and the permanently positioned signs.

Southbound vehicles are asked to exit right from A95 on to A938 at Dulnain Bridge, continue on A938 to junction with B9153 at Carrbridge then turn left on to the B9153 and rejoin the A95 at Kinveachy and the permanently positioned signs.
