Drivers are advised the A9 at Slochd, by Carrbridge, is now open in both directions following a road traffic collision.

Emergency services were alerted to a collision around 9.30am this morning (Thursday 22nd December 2016) involving a Peugeot van and a Renault Scenic.

Three casualties were taken to Raigmore hospital where they are not deemed to be in a life threatening condition.

No further details are available on the casualties at this time.

"Drivers are thanked for their patience during the road closure," said a police spokesperson.
