A9 closes at Slochd after crash

Traffic Scotland has confirmed that the A9 is closed at Dalmagarry on the Slochd Summit.

It is understood that a caravan ended up on its side but that remains to be confirmed.

Both north and sound directions are affected.

The accident happened at 11:44am.

"The A9 is currently restricted in both directions at Tomatin due to road traffic incident," reports Traffic Scotland.

"Road users are advised to approach with caution and to allow for longer than normal journey times."
