A jackknifed lorry is causing delays on the A9 at Daviot this morning (April 7).

the incident involved a Spar delivery goods vehicle on the north-bound route.

Drivers are expected to face lengthy delays while a recovery is made.

Traffic Scotland posted on social media: "The #A9 Northbound is blocked near to Daviot turn off due to an incident involving a lorry in Snow.

"Traffic is stationary, and weather conditions in the area are very poor."

Traffic Scotland has warned motorists that many other routes in the north of Scotland are also being affected by overnight snowfall.
