Three female passengers have been safely removed from a two-vehicle crash at Granish, outside Aviemore on the A9 Inverness-Perth road at Aviemore.
The accident happened at around noon at the Granish junction with the A95 Aviemore-Grantown road.
The fire service had three crews on scene – from Aviemore, Kingussie and Carrbridge - after reports that people were trapped.
A fire service spokeswoman said that all the injuried had now been released and transferred to hospital, believed to be Raigmore at Inverness.
The road was blocked for some three hours but by late afternoon traffic flow was back to normal, with the incident scene fully cleared.
