A86 crash is cleared from the site by Laggan
A car which crashed on the A86 last Tuesday has now been cleared from the scene.
The pick up took place last night at the site, just west of Newtonmore by Loch Uvie.
Following the one-vehicle crash and the closure of the strategic Badenoch route, a Police Scotland spokesperson revealed that a 52-year-old female motorist had been reported.
“We were called around 2.10pm on Tuesday, August 2 to a report of a one car crash on the A86 between Newtonmore and Laggan," the spokesperson confirmed at the time.
“A 33-year-old woman, a passenger, was taken by heli-med to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness with injuries which were later confirmed as non-life threatening.”
The road was closed in both directions and lengthy diversions were put in place.
The road only re-opened around 6pm after the crash had been cleared and investigations made.
