WOODIER - (Grantown-on-Spey). Alan Michael Woodier, died at home in Chapel House, on the afternoon of 19th November. Silvia, the lucky wife for 49 years with her darling husband, was with him at the end. Michael and David, Alan's two beloved sons with their partners, Clare and Erin, live abroad but were with him in their thoughts. Alan continues to live on in his sons and grandchildren, Scott and Heather in Melbourne. He came a long way from his birth in Macao on 16th March, 1945, via Hong Kong, Glasgow, Hong Kong, London, and finally, and very happily through 19 years in Brooklynn, Grant Road to Chapel House. He loved Grantown and we loved him. He was very grateful for the care from doctors and nurses at Raigmore and especially the wonderful care of the community nurses in Grantown. There will be a private funeral service tomorrow (Friday), 27th November at Delliefure. Family flowers only please.
