THOM (Boat of Garten). Peacefully, at Mains House Care Home, Newtonmore on Wednesday, 17th April, 2024, John (Jock) Thom, aged 90 years, formerly of 3 Craigie Avenue, Boat of Garten. Beloved husband of the late Nan, adored father of Moira and John, much loved and respected father-in-law, dear grandfather, and great-grandfather. The funeral service, to which all family, friends and former neighbours are respectfully invited to attend, will take place at St Columba's Parish Church, Boat of Garten on Friday, 3rd May, 2024, commencing at 12 noon; thereafter interment within Laggantygown Cemetery. Family flowers only please, but donations in lieu of floral tributes are welcomed, with the chosen beneficiaries being, 'Heart, Chest & Stroke (Scotland)' and 'The Mains House Residence Fund'. Donations can be made as you retire from the church or forwarded directly to the undernoted.
