SCANLAN - James (Seamus) R.I.P. (Grantown-on-Spey). Peacefully, at Badenoch and Strathspey Community Hospital on 31st December, 2023, aged 84. Latterly of Woodside Court, Grantown-on-Spey, previously France and Stirlingshire. Retired college lecturer and RAF aircraft fitter. Seamus' family would like to thank the attentive staff at the hospital and the wonderful carers who kept Seamus amused and comfortable. Seamus was known for his jokes, stories and sense of humour. He loved the company of friends and family, although sadly in latter years ill health prevented him visiting his dearest friends. He remained an enthusiastic engineer and a keen cook and kept the Grantown Fire Service on their toes. His family would like to invite friends, family and neighbours to attend a farewell gathering outside Woodside Court at 1.30pm, on Monday, 15th January, 2024; thereafter private cremation. Family flowers only please, however, donations in lieu are welcomed, with the chosen beneficiary being The RAF Benevolent Fund.
