HAYNES - (formerly of Grantown on Spey). It is with deep sadness, the family announces the sad passing of Margaret, at St Andrew's Nursing Home, Ewerby. After a long illness with dementia which she endured with immense courage, dignity and humour and sadly after a recent fall, Margaret passed away on Saturday, 20th August, 2022, aged 94 years, with her friend Lyn by her side. Margaret was the devoted wife of the late Alex, loving mother to Chris and Alan, adored nana to Sarah and Sophie, a very proud great-grandmother to Katie, Olivia, Sophia and Sebastian, much loved auntie and a good friend to many. Margaret and Alex spent many happy years in Grantown in both Finlarig and Kirkton. Margaret will be greatly missed by all her family and friends but will be forever in our hearts. Funeral service to be held on Friday, 16th September, at Grantham Crematorium, at 1.30pm. Family flowers only please. Donations invited for the Salvation Army and the RNLI.
