BLAKENEY - Grantown on Spey. Peacefully, at home, on Wednesday, 16th February, 2022, aged 88 years, Hugh S.W. Blakeney, Frognal, Woodside Avenue, Grantown on Spey. Beloved husband of Jane and simply the best father to Christina and Julia, grandfather to Bella, Xander and Hari. A private funeral will take place on Wednesday, 2nd March, 2022. To allow neighbours, friends and former acquaintances the opportunity to offer their last respects, the funeral cortège will leave from Frognal at 10am, travelling along Woodside Avenue, South Street, Castle Road East, Mossie Road and Church Avenue, stopping momentarily at what was the Estate Office, before proceeding down the High Street on its outbound journey. Family flowers only please, however if desired, donations in favour of The British Heart Foundation and Erskine Hospital are welcomed.
