BIRNIE - (Aviemore). Robert (Bob or Bobbie) Birnie, died on 20th March, 2020 at home, peacefully, after a long, courageous and dignified battle with Prostate Cancer. Loving husband of Yvonne, father of Jayne, Amanda, and Jackie, step-father to Russell, Andrew and Debbie, father-in-law and step-father-in-law. Much loved grandfather to Olivia, Angus, Ellie, Katie, Ross, Lisa, Amy, Scott, Ally and Harry. Thanks to all those who supported us in caring for Bob at home, doctors and nurses at Aviemore Medical Practice, MacMillan nurses, Marie Curie nurses, Paramedics and Community nurses. Due to the current circumstances there will be a private service and interment and a Celebration of his Life will be organised at a later date. The family ask you raise a cuppa or put in a couple of turns next time you ski to remember Bob (make sure they are good turns)!
