MACDONALD - (Marybank). The family of the late Esther Christine MacKenzie would like to thank all those who have been so kind in sending cards, messages and tributes of sympathy upon their sudden loss. They are especially grateful for the outstanding professional skills of the medical staff who cared for Esther during her brief illness; Dr Stephen Thomas, Dr Walter Mmeka, Lucy Heycock, Dr Paula Starritt and Dr Catriona Clubb of NHS Highland; Louise Barr of Macmillan; District Nurses Anne McGougan, Anja Pederson and Susan Maclennan, each of whom attended Esther with great compassion. Special thanks to Spud the Piper for leading the cortege from Iona then closing the funeral service and to all those who stood along Mossie Road, The Square, Grantown High Street and at the cemetery to pay their last respects. Warm thanks to Rev. Mary Duncanson for her thoughtful words at the graveside service. Finally, thank you to all at William T Fraser and Son, Funeral Directors, for their impeccable handling of the funeral arrangements and to Angela Hunter for creating such beautiful family floral tributes.
