LANNAGAN - (Tomintoul). The family of the late Bill Lannagan would like to thank all relatives, friends, neighbours and colleagues who travelled from far and wide to attend his funeral. It was of great comfort to see so many people there and we have been overwhelmed by the written expressions of love and affection that we have received. We would like to thank the doctors who treated Bill and all the nurses who made it possible to have him at home with us in his final days. Thank you to Rev. Colin Stewart for a thoughtful, amusing and uplifting service. We are very grateful to Lindsay Jack and Son, Funeral Directors, who handled the arrangements with the utmost care and respect. Thank you also to Irene McPherson who provided excellent refreshments after the service and the Richmond Memorial Hall for the use of their premises. Thank you all who donated so generously, we raised an amazing £1010.66 which will be divided between Marie Curie, Macmillan Cancer Support and Cancer Research UK.
