BURNS - The family and friends of the late Dr Fran Burns wish to thank everyone concerned in her funeral service. Special thanks to Lesley Simpson, humanist celebrant, who conducted the service and gave an inspiring eulogy; to Dr Peter Grant who provided a fitting tribute as a friend and colleague of Fran's in Grantown and to Marie Louise Napier who provided the beautiful music. Special thanks are also due to John Ross Funeral Services for their excellent services and, to the Grant Arms Hotel for refreshments provided. We wish to extend our deep gratitude to all the medical services involved in Fran's care during her illness – the Grantown Health Centre, the Ian Charles Hospital and Raigmore Hospital. Finally, thank you to all who attended Fran's funeral, and to those who sent expressions of sympathy and who contributed so generously to the fund for the Community Nurses and Macmillan Cancer Support, to which organisations Fran felt very grateful. The sum of £705.33 was raised.
