Seventeen-year-old Angus Harrold won the battle of two talented tennis teens to claim his first senior men’s Rothiemurchus and Aviemore title.
He beat club coaching assistant Finlay McDonald, who turned 18 earlier this week, by 6-1, 6-2.
Harrold, a member of the North-East Scotland tennis squad, said: “I think the consistency in my game was the key.”
Fiona Clarke overcame a stern test against LJ Fishpool rallying from one set down after losing a tie-break to claim the ladies singles title 6-7, 6-3, 6-3.
“It was knackering but fun,” said Clarke after prevailing in the match lasting two-and-a-half hours.
“Playing in the league has helped me think a bit more tactically on court.”
The club championships on Sunday were blessed with sunny weather.
