Strathspey Thistle were unable to stop Clachnacuddin’s fine run of form.

The Inverness city side made it seven wins in their last 10 outings with a 3-0 victory at Seafield Park last night.

Troy Cooper made it five goals in just two games with a double and James Anderson added his 18th of the season to earn the win.

Forres Mechanics were on the receiving end of a rampant Huntly display in the Highland League on Wednesday night.

The Black and Golds delivered their biggest victory at Mosset Park in nearly 30 years with a 5-0 success.

Even without 31-goal top scorer Angus Grant for the second game running, Huntly were too good for Cans with Sam Robertson continuing his fine form in attack as Grant’s replacement.

Ex-Buckie Thistle man Robertson plundered a hat-trick including two in the opening ten minutes, the first for a penalty for handball.

Ryan Sewell made it 3-0 with a long range effort following keeper Corey Patterson’s poor clearance.

Sewell doubled up on 63 minutes and Robertson got his third, and 15th of the season after charging down an attempted clearance by keeper Patterson.

Fraserburgh won the Aberdeenshire Shield with a 4-2 win over Formartine United at The Haughs in Turriff.

Broch raced into a 2-0 half time lead thanks to goals by veteran Willie West and Logan watt’s tenth of the campaign.

Formartine hit back in the second half with two quick goals from Stuart Smith and Aaron Norris to level.

But Scott Barbour’s 18th goal of the season edged Fraserburgh back in front and Jamie Beagrie added a fourth to clinch the silverware for the Buchan men.
