NEWTONMORE Camanachd will once again be holding its open day this coming weekend, with a friendly against Fort William the highlight at the Eilan.

The usual excellent catering options will be available, along with sales of merchandise and the opportunity to buy season tickets.

The following weekend sees the start of the season proper and 'More's first team have an away fixture at Kinlochshiel which, if playable by then, will be a tough initiation for new manager Orsten Gardner.

On the same day, Kinlochshiel's seconds are down to visit the Eilan.

The following week sees newly-promoted Glasgow Mid Argyll visit the lion's den, while 'More's seconds take a trip west to Lochcarron.

The first meetings between the two Badenoch giants are actually at second team level, with a league fixture on April 4 at the Dell, followed by another clash at the same venue the following week in the Sutherland Cup. The two first teams meet at the Eilan on May 2.
