Strathspey and Badenoch Welfare League squad announced for Strathspey Thistle friendly

The Strathspey and Badenoch Welfare League select has been announced for their match later this week against Highland League side Strathspey Thistle.

The SBWFA club managers have selected players from all six clubs to represent the league in the friendly match against the Jags on Thursday evening at Seafield Park in Grantown.

There is a mixture of youth and experience in the squad which was chosen after 'after hours of debate and discussion'.

Kick-off is at 7.30pm.

Aviemore Thistle: Xavio Vastano (goalkeeper); Wayne Cathcart (forward); Finlay MacDonald (midfield); Damian Paluga (midfield); David Robertson (forward).

Boat Ospreys: Stefan Ritchie (midfield); Fraser Greenlees (forward); Alex Donaldson (defender); Cairn Giles (defender); Liam Grant (defender).

FC Abernethy: Ben Buckler (forward); Jack Ward (midfield).

Cromdale: Jack Nelson (defender); Josh Talbot-Heigh (defender); Calum MacIntosh (midfield); Daniel Whitehorn (forward); Ryan Sellars (goalkeeper).

Kingussie: Craig MacLeod (midfield); Richard Mintinberg (defender).

Spey Valley Youths: Argyll Allan (midfield); Oliver Walker (midfield).
