Kings line up friendly fixtures ahead of the 2022 shinty season

Kingussie manager John Gibson and the club has set the side a testing pre-season programme.

The Red and Blues open with the popular Liz Young Memorial Sixes which will take place this year at the newly upgraded Market Stance in the town on February 5.

Caberfeidh, who have confirmed that Jodi Gorski, assisted by Brian MacDonald, will remain in charge of their first team, will then provide the opposition a week later.

The two sides will contest the Bill MacPherson Memorial Plate.

Fort William, newly promoted to the Mowi Premiership, will once more be pre-season opponents on February 19 whilst a week after, Kingussie face Glasgow Mid Argyll.

The Glasgow side have just confirmed that Scotland under-21 boss Alan MacRae, who also has previous managerial experience at Lovat, Beauly and Inverness, will be their new manager.

The venues for these three matches will be decided nearer the time.
