It was a day for leaving the demons behind at Aviemore’s ever more popular ParkRun.

The 353rd running of the event will remain particularly special for Lindsay McCue from Edinburgh.

A delighted race director Pete Wright reported: “We were all so happy to see Lindsay return to the course.

“The last time she came she fell and injured her shoulder badly.

“But she had recovered and was here to put all her demons behind her. Well done, Lindsay!”

She and her husband George were among the 89 happy participants on the celebrated Speyside Way course who included well-versed veterans and many first-timers.
