Grantown Guides made quite a splash at this year’s annual swimming gala in the Aquadome.

The girls of 1st Grantown retained their title after a great day in the pool.

It was Girlguiding Inverness-shire’s showcase day at the pool recently and it was clear that the Strathspey team had lost none of its sparkle.

Lead guider Arran Beattie said: “It is a popular fun event which all the guides enjoy taking part in whilst families cheer them on. “

And there was plenty of noise to encourage the local girls to emulate last year’s success.

This year’s successful group included Holly Dunbar (swim coach and Rainbow Guide leader), Arran Beattie and the winning swimmers of Abbie Borthwick, Annie Baines, Phoebe Nicol, Annabelle Schultz and Amy Corcoran. The success built upon last year’s victory by Annabelle Schultz, Annie Baines, and Amy and Holly Corcoran.
