Kingussie Tennis Club has a bright future with plenty of children taking up the game in the town.
More than 20 children took part in the latest coaching session for juniors at the courts on Ardbroilach Road.
Club spokeswoman Moira Webster said: "It has been great to see how well the tennis courts have been used this summer.
"Even with the unsettled weather the courts have been busy with members and visitors.
"The coaching programme run by the club with coach Stephen Anniss has helped with more people gaining confidence and looking to hit a ball more often out with the actual coaching sessions.
"The club had gained support from the Enabling Communities and Neighbourhoods Fund to provide free coaching for all this summer and this has encouraged children and adults to come along.
"Last week, a tennis camp was held at the courts under the direction of coach Stephen. Over three mornings, with two groups each morning, over 20 children have been enjoying tennis – even in the rain!
"The funding has covered the costs and will also mean that another block of coaching, starting this Thursday (August 19) is possible.
"There are only a few places left on these sessions so if anyone would like to be included get in touch."
The club has also been awarded a grant from the National Lottery Communities Fund to make improvements to the pavilion which will make it easier to keep clean in line with Covid-19 recommendations.
Mrs Webster said: "This will make a big difference to the facility and the club is very thankful for this support."
