The West Highland outfit, who finished bottom of the SHFL, were due to face Banks O'Dee in the first leg of the play-off in Aberdeen tomorrow.

But Fort William released a statement on social media saying they had withdrawn from the play-off and will release a further statement in due course.

The Highland League declined to comment when contacted but said they will be releasing a statement tonight.

It is not yet known if Fort William will be automatically relegated from the Highland League as a result, with Banks O'Dee being promoted.
