Breedon Highland League fixtures unveiled for remainder of season
A busy last month of the Breedon Highland League football season has been finalised.
The league have drawn up the fixtures for March and April in a campaign hampered by Covid-19 cases and the weather.
Some crucial matches lie ahead, not least this evening when Buckie Thistle host Brora Rangers in a battle of two of the title contenders.
The Victoria Park clash will also be a dress rehearsal for the Highland League Cup final on April 9.
March 23 promises to be a big night in the championship challenge with all the hopefuls facing difficult matches.
That evening Brora play host to Fraserburgh while Buckie are at home to Rothes and Brechin meet Inverurie.
Rothes can also have a big say in the destiny of the title and also have to welcome Brora and Fraserburgh to MacKessack Park, while Brechin host Brora on March 30.
The relegation play-off issues will also be settled in the next few weeks if Fort William can not pick up some big wins.
Fresh from picking up their third point of the season at Formartine on Saturday, the Fort badly need wins in their last nine games to make up ground on Strathspey Thistle and Turriff United.
Strathspey beat Turriff 2-1 on Saturday to stretch the gap between them and Fort at the bottom to 10 points.
