Extra time heartbreak for Strathspey Thistle in Scottish Gas Scottish Cup





Strathspey Thistle suffered extra time heartbreak being knocked out 2-1 by Dundee North End in the Scottish Cup first round.

Brora Rangers have also been knocked out after a disappointing defeat to Fraserburgh at Dudgeon Park.

The only goal of the game came in the fourth minute when Logan Watt unleashed a right footed volley into the bottom left corner of the net.

Elsewhere North Caledonian League champions Invergordon are also out of the Scottish Cup after losing 3-2 to Glenafton Athletic in New Cumnock.

Nairn County are through to the second round after a 2-0 win at Berwick Rangers at Shielfield Park.

Clachnacuddin came from behind to defeat Kilwinning Rangers 2-1 to reach the second round.
