Big wins for Badenoch giants in latest round of Mowi shinty fixtures

There were thumping wins for Kingussie and Newtonmore at the weekend in their Mowi League B fixtures.
The Red and Blues had one of their biggest wins in years with a 13-0 victory away to Caberfeidh whilst the Eilan side beat Strathglass 5-1 at home.
In the other Mowi League B match, Lovat’s Lewis Tawse scored a stoppage-time winner in the derby against Beauly at Balgate.
Beauly’s Ross Forbes scored twice early on but Fraser Heath’s second half brace tied the contest. Tawse put Lovat 3-2 ahead with just seconds remaining.
Elsewhere, Jordan Fraser’s goal and Duncan Matheson’s double gave Kinlochshiel a 3-1 Mowi League A win over Glenurquhart with Jed Stoddart countering.
The matches between Kilmallie and Fort William and Lochaber and Skye were postponed because of covid issues in the Lochaber area.
In Mowi League C, Oban Camanachd defeated Aberdour 13-0 at Mossfield. Daniel MacVicar scored four, Connor Howe a hat-trick, Daniel Madej twice with Daniel MacCuish, Scott MacMillan, Lewis Buchanan and Daniel Sloss getting the others.
Kyles Athletic beat Glasgow Mid Argyll 3-2 in Mowi League C. Ross Macrae scored twice and Innes MacDonald’s got the other with Oliver MacRae getting both GMA goals. Inveraray’s meeting with Oban Celtic has been rescheduled.
