Yellow weather warning issued as heavy rain set to hit the Highlands later today

Parts of the Highlands will be hit by heavy rain with potential impacts to travel and infrastructure, according to the Met Office.
A yellow weather warning is in place from later today (Tuesday) at 10pm and adverse weather is expected to last through the day on Wednesday.
Parts of Caithness, Sutherland, Easter Ross and Inverness-shire as well as Badenoch and Strathspey and Nairnshire.
The Met Office website states that there is a “slight chance” of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses as well as a chance of flooding.
Train and bus travel could be disrupted as a result.
