This Friday's performance of Aladdin in Dalwhinnie is a sell-out.

All 80 tickets have been snapped up ahead of the doors opening at the village hall.

It means that there will be no tickets available on the night.

Simon Conroy, who is playing Widow Twanky, said the cast of local residents was not expecting such a great response.

He told the Strathy: "The Dalwhinnie panto team is absolutely delighted that we are now sold out and will have a full capacity of 80 for the performance this Friday evening.

"We would like to thank all of those involved in the panto for making it such a great success already.

"I would like to also thank all those who have bought tickets for the Friday show for their support.

"I hope that they take care when travelling to Dalwhinnie on Friday evening.

"We are all looking forward to seeing them and putting on a great show."

It is the first panto to be laid on by the community in Dalwhinnie as far as any of the cast can recall.
