Caley Thistle, NHS Highland, Highland Council: find out who is and isn’t impacted by the worldwide IT outage

Inverness Caley Thistle Football Club is currently experiencing ticket issues due to the global IT outage.

A post on the club’s Facebook said: “Due to the widespread global IT outage, which is affecting Ticketmaster platforms, we are currently unable to deal with any type of ticket queries both in-store and online.

“We will update supporters once this has been resolved.”

NHS Highland has only had one system impacted by the outage with just 10 users using a contingency plan.

An NHS Spokesperson said: “NHS Highland has evaluated its systems and can confirm that all systems are operational apart from the Dragon Medical One speech recognition system which has around 10 users. These are very small numbers and a contingency is in place.”

Major IT outages have hit industries across the world; almost 1,400 flights are cancelled and banking, healthcare and shops are affected.

Highland Council and HIAL have not been impacted by the outage.

Cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike says a "defect" in one of its software updates hit Windows operating systems.
