Well-known restaurant in Aviemore to close its doors after five years
A well-known restaurant in Aviemore has announced that it is to close its doors at the end of the year.
The Galaxy World Buffet restaurant which serves mainly Chinese cusine will, however, operate its Noodles Bar takeaway on the ground floor for a further month.
The company has announced: “Thanks for our friends and customers’ support and over the past five years especially during lockdown.
“We went through a lot, we appreciate all of you.
“Sad to say we sold our business. The buffet will open till next Sunday (December 29) and the takeaway remain open until the 30th January.”
The takeaway will closed from January 1 to 6 for a family break.
It is understood that the Black Isle Brewery has acquired the premises but that has yet to be confirmed.
The Strathy has contacted the company but not received a response.
The firm is based at Old Allangrange in Munlochy and has bars in Inverness and Fort William serving craft beers and organic pizzas.
The company states on its website of its Inverness business on Church Street: “We have 26 taps pouring the latest Black Isle brews and a wide selection of craft beers - over 100 - from all over the world…
“Our wood fired pizzas are made using the freshest ingredients sourced wherever possible from our market garden and farm.”
