WATCH: Highland Heroes 2025 - nominations open for your local heroes!
Who are the real superheroes in your community?
We want to hear all about them as the search for Highland Heroes 2025 starts right now!
NOMINATE now in any of the categories by midnight, Sunday, December 15.
Tell us about the folk who champion your community, fundraise or volunteer for local causes, the hard-working pupils who achieve in school and donate their precious time, and the courageous children who face adversity so bravely.
We want to hear all about the green heroes who make communities better now and for future generations, the dedicated teachers, schools and healthcare heroes who make a real difference to the lives of others, the carers who always put others first, and the emergency services who go above and beyond their duty to rescue those in peril and save lives.
Sound like anyone you know? Then nominate them for a Highland Heroes award!
Highland Heroes recognises and celebrates the real-life heroes in communities right across the Highlands and is your chance to give a big thank you to those who do so much for others without expecting anything in return.
Title sponsor for Highland Heroes 2025 is Serimax.
Serimax commercial and operations development director, Murdo MacAngus, was delighted to support Highland Heroes: “At Serimax, your local professional welding contractor, we proudly embrace our community and recognise the heroes who unite the Highlands. Supporting the Highland Heroes campaign allows us to celebrate those who inspire and uplift us all.
“Through our local apprentice training school and commitment to renewable projects, we are dedicated to giving back to our community. We encourage everyone to nominate their heroes and help shine a light on those making a real difference.”
Highland News & Media managing director, Steve Barron, added: “We’re delighted to once again shine the spotlight on the inspirational local heroes in our Highland communities.
“We are always moved by the nominations ‒ the brave children who overcome immense challenges with such courage and those whose lives have been made better thanks to the kindness, generosity and dedication of others who go above and beyond without seeking recognition or thanks in return.
