A9 opened again after two-vehicle collision

Travellers taken to Aviemore Health Centre after yesterday's road accident at Aviemore (Thursday, August 9) were not detained.

Police Scotland confirmed two women – the driver of a VW van and a passenger in a Jaguar XJ – were seen by doctors but had sustained no serious injuries.

The two vehicles were involved in a collision on the A9 at the Lynwilg junction south of Aviemore.

The incident was reported at 2.40pm.

The northbound lane was blocked and both vehicles were recovered.

Traffic is running normally today.
