TAXI and private hire drivers still have time to apply for cash support, after the deadline was extended by the Scottish Government.

But time is short, and Highland Council has warned that the fund will remain open to new applicants only for a few more days.

"A new deadline is expected imminently, so Highland Council urges any eligible taxi/private hire drivers who have not yet applied to do so immediately," said a spokesman.
