COLD START: Temperature are dipping again on Badenoch and Strathspey roads

Highland Council’s roads maintenance team are coping with another drop in temperatures across Badenoch and Strathspey.

This morning’s roads conditions report issued at 7.51 confirmed: “Temperatures are colder than expected.

“Primary and Secondary routes are being treated on higher ground this morning.”

But there were no known overnight issues.

On the Inverness side, roads are dry or salty and damp but there are no problems, the report confirmed.

On the Nairn side the story was the same.

No schools have needed to close.
