Take a trip down memory lane to Aviemore Centre

The first episode of a new two part documentary series will take the audience back in time to the heyday of the Aviemore Centre.

Greetings from Scotland is being aired this evening on BBC Scotland at 10pm.

It takes a jaunt through glorious archive footage and funny reminiscences to hear the story of how - after a faltering start - Scotland embraced tourism.

The first episode also looks at the development of tourism in Glasgow, Scotland’s biggest city, when it was a tough sell as a holiday destination.
