One of the strath's largest primary schools is closed for the next two days because of staff absences in connection with Covid.

Grantown Primary School and nursery will re-open on Thursday all being well.

Headteacher Kip Clark explained: "We have rising cases of Covid-19 in the school. We have been advised that some staff need to go for a PCR test and this will leave us too short-staffed to remain open...

"I am sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused some parents but we have no choice but to follow public health advice for the protection of everyone. We will post work on Google Classroom and upload access codes to the class blogs."
