Visitors came from as far afield as Jersey, and as organiser Hilary Quick proudly announced: "We are about to claim the title of friendliest parkrun!"

The 116th event since its launch in 2017, today's Strathspey outing attracted no fewer than 123.

They jogged, ran or walked the course, among them no less than 70 first timers.

A total of 11 new personal bests were recorded, as representatives of 26 different clubs took part.

As ever the popular event depended on a sturdy team of volunteers and todays heroes were:

Christopher Morris, Jane Pottie, Jonathan Duckworth, Mairi Crawford, Hilary Quick, Janice Cargill, Bill Cargill, Bill Dewitt, Diana Grimson, Iain Wallace and Susan Smith.

The full results and a complete event history can be found on the Aviemore parkrun Results Page.

Since run number on on May 6, 2017, 3,585 people have completed 7,796 parkruns covering a total distance of 38,980 km.
