The Inverness-based soloist performs throughout Scotland and beyond, but this week will play with the strath's own orchestra at Boat of Garten Community Hall.

The graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, who went on to study with Yehuda Hanani in Cincinnati, commissioned a new work for cello and double bass from composer Natalie Draper which was premiered with BBC Philharmonic double bassist Alice Durrant.

She has performed all the Bach Cello Suites at Podiumkunsten Emmakade and led outreach workshops with The Hague Philharmonic.

Now she has a thriving teaching studio in the Highland captial and works for Big Noise Scotland. She collaborates regularly with pianist – and Friday's conductor – Robin Versteeg.
