One of the strath's finest eating houses, closed last month because of the difficulty in finding chefs, is set to reopen.

Anderson's Restaurant at Boat of Garten has posted the good news, albeit with a caveat.

"So happy to announce we shall be reopening again this Thursday.

"We still have staffing issues, so will be opening with a small, but delicious menu with daily specials," writes owner Steve Anderson.

"We have so much to do over the next few days to get ready to welcome you all, so please bear with us why we put everything in place.

"We shall be limiting numbers to start with, as we have to train new kitchen staff."

The restaurant hopes in the coming weeks to cope with 60 nightly covers, with tables of up to eight.

"Hospitality has changed immensely over the past year, hopefully for the better in the long run.

"Short-term independent restaurants will struggle with finding staff, steeply rising costs and restrictions, restrictions and more restrictions!

"We will be trying our best to restore our little restaurant to its full potential, the road ahead may be difficult, but we are so determined to succeed. "We look forward to welcoming you all soon."

He closes: "Big love, Steve & Team."
