Barney Page has completed his epic John O Groats to Land's End challenge which included a 30-mile stretch from the Highland capital to Aviemore, accompanied by local skaters.

It took the 30-year-old from Leeds five hours to complete the local 30 miles section using roads and cycle paths.

His efforts have been in aid of the Ben Raemers Foundation set up in honour of the fellow professional skateboarder who died in 2019. It uses funds to help provide mental health support for people struggling to cope.

Mr Page said: “Being able to help raise money and awareness for the Ben Raemers Foundation is an incredible feeling and I hope the journey touches others in the way it has for me.”

Ross Ketterer (25), from Inverness, who joined Page, said: “Being a skateboarder in the Highlands where mental health is a major issue, I felt it was important to support it.”

The entire LeJog journey lasted a period of 25 days and a total of 941 miles.

Mr Page's GoFundMe page can be found here.
